This past Saturday, Dawson, Durham and I went riding out at West Mountain, on the South East end. There were a lot of folks and families out riding. Lots of wind blowing. We took the Kawasaki Bayou. It was running rough at first after sitting all winter, but several hours of good riding cleaned/cleared things up and now it's running great again. It was lots of fun, and there are still some good trails there to explore. We'll head back out soon. The picture below was taken facing East over south Utah Valley toward Payson.

Little Sahara Utah - 1st Dunes Trip, October 2009

White sand dunes as far as the eye can see. Freedom. The famous 700-ft. "Sand Mountain" off in the distance. We'll tackle that another day.

There was a little breeze, but the weather was perfect. It's amazing how a light breeze will completely delete your tracks in half an hour and make it look as though you're the first person ever to cross the dunes.
We all went. Jenelle and Durham even had a good time. It was fun to have the whole family.
Daddy and Dawson are expanding our horizons. Sand is definitely here to stay.
It takes an hour and a half to get here from Provo, and it's a pretty drive if you ask me.
Dawson just loved the sand, and if I just took him off the bike and set him on top of a dune he'd sit and play in it happily, non-stop.
